The hotel & restaurant is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays until the end of March 2025. From April, the restaurant will open for Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Dinner from Wednesdays - Saturdays & for our traditional Sunday Roast every Sunday from 12 - 2pm. The restaurant remains closed on Mondays & Tuesdays throughout the year. We serve a light supper menu on Monday evenings for hotel residents only. The hotel will be closed from Monday 10th November, and will re-open for dinner & accommodation on Friday 21st November.Please send an email request if you would like to make a reservation for our rooms or restaurant and we will get back to you within 24 hours.

Orestone Manor is an independent, family-run country house hotel. The magnificent manor house is set in the pretty South Devon coastal village of Maidencombe, with spectacular sea views.

All our bedrooms are unique and have all been lovingly refurbished using the very finest fabrics, wallpaper and fittings.

The award-winning new-look Bay Restaurant has views over the sea and countryside beyond. Our chefs have created wonderful menus with the finest local producers and suppliers.

We are very proud of our 5/5 rating on Tripadvisor, 2 AA rosettes for dining and 4* AA gold star accommodation rating.

Reception is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm but you can phone or email outside of these times, and if you leave a message, one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please note the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year.

Luxurious stay to unwind with sea view

"We stayed in the beautifully decorated ‘Art Deco’ room 4. Very comfortable room with everything we wanted to make this a luxurious stay. Two nights was a good time to rest and re-charge plus to experience the superb restaurant. Everything you would expect and more including: fridge, plentiful tea re-fills. Large shower with rain shower, comfortable chairs to relax into and bath."

Excellent Meals

“Our third visit to Orestone Manor and once again an excellent stay. Hotel was tastefully decorated for Christmas. Our meals were outstanding, great quality food, good portions without being too large and friendly staff.

The rooms are comfortable, warm and well maintained. The hotel's WiFi is OK, although on top floor can drop out.

Have no doubt we will be back in 2023.”

"A one night stay at this totally marvellous hotel. Perfect setting, superb staff, superb food. Absolutely wonderful room - Room 6 - with a balcony. Huge bathroom and sumptuous surroundings! In fact the whole place exudes quality, luxury and care. The owners have taken a lot of trouble to make this a glorious hotel. Not perhaps ideal to be staying at the beginning of December, but it was for family reasons. We will be sure to return when we next have to travel to Devon. Our bedroom certainly was warm and the bed almost as comfortable as being at home! We would heartily recommend Orestone Manor to anyone considering either a stay in Devon, or just a meal. The service and food at Orestone is second to none!"
